In today’s book. I will share with you one of the most famous books in personal development. Our life is made up of our habits, and in this #1 best selling book, Stephen teaches us a framework for personal effectiveness which is formed by the combination of our habits in life.

Habits – are a combination of our knowledge, skill, and desire. The Author reminds us that to form a habit, we need to have the knowledge to know what to do, the ability to know how to do it and finally the motivation to do something.

Stephen explains in this book that many individuals who have achieved a high degree of outward success still find themselves struggling with an inner need for developing personal effectiveness and growing healthy relationships with other people.

Stephen believes the way we see the world is entirely based on our own perceptions. He shares a quote

“In order to change a given situation, we must change ourselves, and in order to change ourselves, we must be able to change our perceptions.”

Stephen studied over 200 years’ worth of literature on the concept of “success,” He identified a very important change in the way that humans have defined success over time.

In order to change, we have to address our character, not our behavior. Being truly effective means clarifying what it is we want to achieve in life, act on that proactively by putting our goals into action. This is easier to achieve by working with others in invest lasting relationships and to keep a balanced lifestyle.
Achieving unity with ourselves, our loved ones, our friends, and our working associates is the highest, best, and most rewarding out of the seven habits.
