Booked Morning Podcast Episode 7 – Review and Summary of Failing Forward by John C Maxwell

All of us in life, one time on another feel like a failure, or that whatever we try or to, it seems the universe is against it. I for sure have had those times in my life. With life challenges, failure is a part of the becoming successful and achieving process.

In this podcast, my tagline is “a book a day keeps failures at bay.” we Cannot totally avoid failure as it is a part of our life, we simply need to learn our lessons from each failure or mistake and become better. That is the main lesson of this book.

A great story of failure is from

J.K. Rowling, the author of the Harry Potter novels

She was on public assistance when she wrote the first book of what would become one of the best-selling series in history. The book was rejected by a dozen publishers. The only reason it got published at all was because the CEO’s eight-year-old daughter begged him to publish it.

JK Rowling once said. “Failure meant a stripping away of the inessential.” – J.K. Rowling

Those of us who have been down, fired, laid off, bankrupted, closed down our business and any other failures we encounter in our daily life. We need to learn from those failures, accept them as lessons and part of the process, bounce back and get back on the saddle and keep persevering. Just like a diamond, it takes pressure, heat and time to hone us into success. Failure will happen, it’s what we do after, that will determine where we get in life.
